Dragon Racing Fuels’ Kathy Fisher Set to Compete at zMax Dragway for NHRA National

September 15, 2010 Concord, NC – After nearly a month away from the track, Kathy Fisher of Performance by Fisher Racing is ready to hit the quarter-mile this weekend during the NHRA Carolina’s Nationals.

After arriving at the state-of-the-art facility, Fisher is quite impressed with all it has to offer.

"When we pulled in this afternoon, it is all that I have heard of and read about,” she stated.

“This event wasn’t on our original schedule, but due to my work as an on-camera talent, I have had to make several changes throughout the season,” she continued. “This will be a very special race for both me and my husband Kevin, who normally competes in Top Dragster. That class is not offered for this event, so he borrowed our friend’s dragster and will compete in Super Comp with me.”

One may note that the Fisher’s have not competed in the same class since the end of the 2007 season and to do so, so very close to the couple’s ten year wedding anniversary could make it very interesting.

“Oh no matter what, we’ll make it,” Fisher said as she laughed of the couple’s chances of meeting up on the track and putting a damper on the milestone anniversary. “We ran the same class for three full seasons and never once raced each other. We came close during a couple of events and honestly, I think it would be great.”

“Just not until later rounds, please,” she added.

During the weekend’s event in Concord, North Carolina, just outside Charlotte, they will both be competing in BBC powered dragsters injected with Dragon Racing Fuels Methanol.

“We made the switch to Dragon Racing Fuels late last season and have never looked back,” noted Fisher. “There is no room for any extra variables in our form of motorsports, let alone our class of drag racing. We win and lose by as little as ten-thousandths of a second. We need to know that each drum of fuel we use is just the same as the last.”

The national and divisional event winner hopes to add a North Carolina victory to her racing resume.

“I’ve had some great success over the years in this state and I love racing at new-to-me facilities,” she continued. “We are looking forward to using a whole lot of Dragon Racing Fuels this weekend.”

Dragon Racing Fuels Will Breathe Fire into Performance by
Fisher Racing for Full 2010 Season

LIMA, Oh – March 26, 2010 Kevin and Kathy Fisher of Performance by Fisher Racing are proud to announce their association with Dragon Racing Fuels, manufacturer of some of the finest racing fuel blends available.

The newly formed partnership will allow Performance by Fisher Racing to expand their competition schedule to include more events and venues than in seasons past with immediate plans to compete in both NHRA and IHRA. Kevin will begin his first full season in the team’s Ohio Crankshaft powered Top Dragster while former IHRA top ten finisher Kathy Fisher, looks to build on past successes in her Super Comp/Quick Rod entry. Both will be claiming division three.

"Saying that we are thrilled to align our team with a company such as Dragon Racing Fuels just might be an understatement," explained Frank Hawley Drag Racing School staff member and TV host Kathy Fisher. "We started working with Chuck Newton and his staff late last season when we made the switch to their products. While we run mostly methanol in our cars, the quality and effort Dragon puts into their storage and packaging is second to none. We found that we had even more consistency in our cars from drum to drum than we have had in a very long time. Racers don’t need extra variables in the equation and by running all Dragon Racing Fuel products, we took one very important one completely out of the scenario. "

When choosing a product to use, one looks for not only superior quality but a good company of people to back it up and that’s what Performance by Fisher has found in Dragon Racing Fuels.

"We were sold on Dragon products from the start," adds crew chief and driver Kevin Fisher. "What put us over the top was the group of people who offer the support and knowledge that they do in regards to their entire line. Chuck is a committed, fantastic and hard-working individual in his own right and now that Chuck has added a new key member to the Dragon Team, namely Kevin Majewski, the sky’s the limit in what they will be able to offer the entire world of motorsports."

Kevin Majewski comes to the Lafayette, Indiana based Dragon Racing Fuels with six years of sales and technical experience in the racing fuels business and in all racing segments from snowmobile, motorcycles, drag and sprint cars. Many may remember Majewski as the familiar face seen at numerous racing events from his years with Torco Racing Fuels.

"The word passionate is a very good word to associate with the entire Dragon Racing Fuels operation," notes Kathy. "It applies to everything they do, from blending to sales and tech support. When you are chasing championships, you don’t want anything less in your corner and on your team."

"We also have some very exciting plans and promotions for Dragon Racing Fuels that we will set in to motion for fans and racers alike in the coming months, " adds Kathy. "As they say, stay tuned!"

Performance by Fisher Racing will embark on their full 2010 season, beginning with the NHRA Division 3 season opener at O’Reilly Raceway Park next month and their first IHRA event is scheduled for Pittsburgh Raceway Park for the Division 3 Double in early May.

Dragon Racing Fuels offers eight blends of racing fuel, from their Tarragon 100 to Tarragon 118 NOS, Methanol and much more.
